BIG4 Narrawong Island Holiday Park is a picturesque camping destination situated 15 minutes east of Portland and approximately 45 minutes west of Port Fairy on the Great Ocean Road.

The park offers the best of both worlds only a short stroll to the Beach and sits on the banks of the Surry River, offering stunning views of the lush surrounding bushland and the river itself. It’s a quiet and peaceful retreat, perfect for those seeking a break from the hustle and bustle of city life.

The holiday park has a range of accommodation options, including caravan and camping sites and cabins. All of the accommodation options are self-contained to ensure that guests have a comfortable stay. Some of the onsite facilities include children’s playground, tennis courts, basketball ring, games room with modern arcade games, BBQ area, camp kitchen and an onsite convenience store within the reception area.

For outdoor enthusiasts, BIG4 Narrawong Island Holiday Park offers easy access to a range of activities at your doorstep without having to leave the park such as fishing, kayaking, surfing, swimming. Most weekends we have our coffee window open so grab a takeaway and have a stroll along the beach while fossicking for sharks teeth. Have your camera ready for some Whale watching (in the Winter months) our guests can be lucky enough to catch a glimpse from the sand dunes of a baby calf having a play while its Mother keeps a close watch.

For those wishing to explore a little further BIG4 Narrawong Island Holiday Park is also close to some great local attractions in Narrawong such as the Mt Clay Mountain Bike trails and bush walking tracks, Narrawong Lavender Farm and the Bay of Whales art Gallery.

In just a short 15min drive the historic town of Portland awaits to be explored. Jump on Portland’s Historic Cable Tram while enjoying a scenic tour and an extensive history lesson delivered by knowledgeable volunteers. Take a self-guided tour around the historic buildings. Nature lovers are in for a treat with a walk around Portland’s Fawthrop Lagoon for some bird watching and Koalas sleeping in the gum trees or take a picnic and relax in the Botanic Gardens.

The Discovery Bay Coastal Park, Cape Nelson Lighthouse, Cape Bridgewater Seal colony tour by boat and walk are just a few of the many activities on offer in the surrounding area of Portland.

Overall, BIG4 Narrawong Island Holiday Park is a great place to relax and enjoy the natural beauty and wildlife of the Great Ocean Road region such as Koala’s, Birds, Seals and Whales. With plenty of things to see and do nearby, it’s an ideal destination for families, couples or solo travellers.

The Mount Clay Bike Trail was developed in conjunction with Portland Cycling Club and Warrnambool Mountain Biking Club.

The Mount Clay route is a great easy grade trail and is fantastic for any experience level.
